New music

So......... you probably noticed the new music on my blog.... that is courtesy of my husband. He was messing around trying to figure out how to change it and he put his music on it. He also tried to do a custom skin on the music player but the picture is too big- if you look you can see Rilea in the corner. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Snow in the South

It was hard to believe but we had snowfall in Shreveport. The weird part is that it seems as if it only snowed in Downtown Shreveport- like we were in a snowglobe. As I was driving to work, heading north, it wasn't snowing until I got off the interstate at downtown. Then come to find out a co-worker lives north of town and he was driving south and didn't hit snow until he got downtown. I thought it was a little strange. It didn't snow for long and it didn't stick for very long but it was beautiful!!!!

Report Card Day

Yes, we finally got report cards for the second quarter!! Overall I am very pleased with my son's grades. Most of his grades were brought up from the 1st quarter except for one and that is Language development. In his main courses he got 2 A's 3 B's and 1 C. He got all A's in art, music, PE and conduct. 1st grade is such an important year- he has learned so much in just a few months. I am surprised at how much  homework a 1st grader has- it takes Ethan a bit longer because of a short attention span.

Felt like a kid again...

We had some friends over last night to play Guitar Hero!! Yes, a video game!! I'm 32 and had friends over to play video games!! It's like they came over for a play date. We  had such an awesome time- after eating a spaghetti dinner the kids (they have a son that is a year older than Ethan and a daughter a year older than Rilea) went upstairs and played. The adults took turns and rocked out on the guitar playing songs that brought back some memories and then some new songs. I look forward to doing it again soon. Just a quick thanks to my wonderful sister! Now I have to figure out how to operate this blog- please be patient.

My sister made me do it!

Really! Actually my sister is writing this post and setting up my blog. I will probably not like a thing she has done to it and change it all, but for now she has set it all up for me so that I could have one more thing to do. I will thank her later when I'm completely connected to all my family/friends with just a one post for all to read.
